Here's your chance to make a successful contribution to the conservation of Africa’s wildlife while you travel. Africa Volunteer Services (AVS) works with leading conservationists and wild life specialists in South Africa to see how we can improve the lives of animal species that can generally not be released back into the wild. AVS welcomes everybody with a love animals and the outdoors to take part as a volunteer. Depending where the project is, accommodation is usually in a local shared housing. After a day’s work, you get to have dinner and relax amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in Africa. Transportation from a central point to the project site will be provided too.
You’ll experience a variety of projects, see some of South Africa’s most stunning locations, go behind the scenes where most people never get to see, learn about the Africa’s protected and endangered wildlife, develop new skills, make new friends, and at the same time have fun. So challenge yourself for an amazing wildlife experience! Just choose the number of weeks you would like to volunteer in, and we’ll organize a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 21 week wildlife experience for you. AVS will ensure that you experience a variety of tasks during your time as a volunteer, and at the same time you will learn about the conservation and preservation of the eco system.

Christopher Kucich - "AVS was a very amazing experience that I will take and already have taken to the rest of my life. The actual work we did made a difference, as our coordinators would make sure that our hard effort was not wasted on trivial things. My coordinators were outstanding, 10/10 if you will, for all of their positive energy and willingness to help Africa, and the beautiful and amazing animals that are endangered! I am truly fortunate to have this experience with me to take to the rest of my life, I highly highly recommend working with AVS, because of its dedication to help and defend the beautiful nature of our world."
Jessica Dockery - "This was by far one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. I had high expectations to begin with, but AVS exceeded those expectations. Not only were we able to work closely with some amazing animals, but the people that I met are some that I will never forget. I learned so much about the African culture and history of the country, and a great deal about many of the animals that we worked with. This was the trip of a lifetime and I really hope that I can go back and visit in the near future. I'd certainly recommend this program to anyone and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!"
