YOUTH: Discounted rates apply to youths aged between 12 and 25 inclusive on their first day of travel.
Conditions
- Exchange for your pass at JR ticket station offices & start your travel within 3 months of voucher issuance.
- Travel days are consecutive (except for JR East Pass 4 Days in a month period)
- Travel is valid on JR trains, some JR buses and ferries only, excludes “Nozomi” Shinkansen trains & non-JR trains.
- For non-reserved segments, simply line up at the marks on the platform where non-reserved cars will pull up at time of arrival.
- An express surcharge and berth charge is payable to ride on the sleeper train.
- Children (ages 6 to 11) price will be half of the adult price.
- Children below the age of 5 will not be charged and will not be given a seat.
