Speak like the Chinese

Old Chinese man
A few Chinese phrases & words go a long way, especially if you’re in a remote area where very little English might be spoken.  Here are a few to give you a head start on the Chinese language...

1. Ni-hao (Hello)

2. Zai jian (Goodbye)

3. Xie xie (Thank you)

4. Qing wen zen mo zou? (Will you show me the way to...)

5. Zou ba (Let’s go)

6. Duo shao qian? (How much?)

7. Tai gui le! (It’s too expensive!)

8. Pian yi dian (Give me a lower price)

9. Hao chi!! (It’s delicious!)

10. Ting bu dong (I don’t understand what you’re saying)
